The ratification according to DIN EN ISO 14001:2005 (environment) and the first observation according to OHSAS 18001 (occupational safety) was passed with success.
Three years have passed since we had the initial certification of our environmental management system which was in the first quarter of 2005. In order to still use this certification we had to perform a recertification. With this certification we had also the first supervisory audit of our occupational safety management.
We worked hard on the improvement of both systems since the last certification. The certification was carried out from the LGA InterCert on March 11th and 12th.
Mr Schardt and Mr Wildermann were convinced about the effectiveness of the system.
On the spot the courses and realization of the courses were tested and the employees were asked about there knowledge of the system. It was pleasant how competent the employees from Sembach showed their knowledge and also persuaded the auditors that the system is not only operational from an environmental officer or specialist for occupational safety but from all of the employees. We could perform the recertification without bigger hurdles. The executive board, the environmental management officer and the specialist for occupational security (D. Macher) want to say thank you to all of the employees for the support now and the last years.
